Greetings friends,
I am new to the net and enjoying your chats and info very much. I am mother to 4
and a LLL leader and DA. I am considering becoming a LC and I know I will learn
a lot from you all. I felt compelled to write concerning the adoption issue.
You see I am the baby! I was adopted when I was about 9 months old. I was ill
when I was brought home and couldn't tolerate the evaporated milk-syrup mixture
that was to be my formula. So, a wet nurse was found for me. She was a major
part of my life until I was about 8 years old when I was no longer allowed to
see her because I was caught calling her MOM. This infuriated my adoptive
mother. I still suffer her loss. I have so many feeling churning about being
adopted and this is not the place to discuss them, but feel free to e-mail me
privately. I will add fuel to the fire by saying (for many many reasons), I am
not so sure open adoption is a good idea either.
