Again , just personal experience --One of my sons weighed 8'13" at
birth, 20 lb at three months. He averaged 5-6 feeds /day, never longer
than fifteen minutes, slept six or seven hours at night, refused solids
until about eight months, and weighed twenty-three pounds at one year.
When my doctor with whom I have a very good relationship suggested a
diet at three months, I agreed as long as HE would take care of the baby
between feeds. That little blimp is now nineteen years old, 5'10" ,
about 140 pounds of muscle and an Honours student who is starting
University in September. So Rhoda, tell your mother that her baby will
be just fine .
