Jeanette,
Funny you should mention this issue.  My son had a patent foramen ovale
dx at age 6 weeks, murmur and cyanosis when crying were the tip-offs.
His cardiologist was thrilled I was exclusively bf him.  By 3 mos of age,
it spontaneously closed.  Gave me a good excuse to feed him whenever he
cried "he can't cry, he has a heart defect"!
