Hi Lactnetters,
I have a friend 3 weeks post-partum. First baby, c-section. I suspect that
she has yeast. There is one thing I'm puzzeled by and wanted to know if any
of you have seen it. 1 week outside of her delivery she started having
horrible nausea, this has been going on two weeks now and has us all
puzzeled, doctors included. Baby is very "colicky" ( I hate that term), gas,
fussy, etc. I wondered could this be a cow's milk intolerance and mom
has developed an aversion to cow's milk products. Could her nausea be caused
by her eating them? I can't find any other reason for her nausea and neither
can her doctor. She did have a spinal but has no headaches, could the nausea
be from the spinal. I'm not a nurse or doctor, any ideas? She's really having
a tough time and it's undermining her confidence. I fear I'll loose her as a
BF'ing mom if this goes much longer because she's taking Phenergan and gets
so sleepy she can't wake to feed baby at night. SCARY!!!! Anyway, I humbly
ask for help.
TIA,
Nina J. Lanphear CLE, LSP
