Debi,
There is mention of family co-sleeping in Luke 11:5-10, in the parable of
the friend calling at midnight. A man's friend comes to him at midnight
to ask for bread for some unexpected company. The man replies "my
children are with me in bed" as an excuse to not get up, but when the
friend perserveres, gets up and gives him the bread. Jesus used
illustrations that would be familiar to the people he spoke to to make
his points. Therefore we can be confident that children sleeping with
parents was the usual course of events in Biblical times.
