Hi Lactnetters,
I'm new to the Digest. My name is Royce Anderson. I am an RN, CBE and
I'm awaiting Board results. I do home visits on new Moms & Babes. I
attended my first ILCA conference in July.
I have to thank a patient (now friend) for helping me get on Lactnet.
She is really into this computer stuff and looked around until she found
you guys then told me how to get on. Her name is Jamie (Mommy to Benji
the Banshee and Nicki the Nipplemuncher). She worked for 7 weeks to get
her babe exclusively on the breast!!!! They recently moved from OK to
NC and I just received a post from her asking for assist. She says that
the mosquitoes are eating them alive. Her Womanly Art... is still
packed. What can she use for relief of itching?
Next question- I saw a patient last week that runs 6-13 miles per day
(before delivery). She wants to get back to it soon. What about the
effects of long distance running and lactation? When should she run,
before or after nursing? Etc?????
Thanks and I'm really enjoying the Digest.
Royce, Oklahoma City.
