Pamela,

I too would have concern about Betadine.  In Dr Hale's wonderful talk about
Medications and Breastfeeding he said that iodine is one of the substances
that could not get back out of mother's milk.  Probably a survival mechanism
since naturally occuring iodine isn't all that easy to come by most of the
time.  I can't remember the consequences.
