Someone posted about a "home treatment" for pinworms. They mentioned it
took about two weeks. I had pin worms, as an adult, caught from a child I
babysat. They go "away" on their own in about two weeks, are dormant for a
few weeks, and then begin the cycle again. The kids need the medicine.
The worms live in the intestines. The "tape" method is NOT to get rid of
the worms, but to diagnose the infection. Mebendazole did NOT work for
me, I had three doses, (one is supposed to work), and finally i had to
have a suspension of a drug called pyrantel pamoate. Anyone know of any
bad side effects?? I had none, and I was given a dose, then another three
weeks later.
