Thank you all for your help concerning this baby with cleft in soft
palate getting ready to be operated. I will forward the information to
the mother.
By the way, when I (using my "doctor" title) called the clinic, I was
told that the baby would be off the breast for three days only, not ten
days, as the mother thought (funny, she seemed quite sure of her fact ...
) I suspect that the mere fact of getting involved changed something. If
you want another precious resource, try the Toronto hospital for sick
children (they call it "sick kids hospital" as a nickname), the
breastfeeding clinic. I called, left a message stating the problem, and
the coordinator fo their cleft palate clinic called me right away.
Wonderful service and support !
