Several essential oils have anti-fungal properties and could be used by you or
your MIL in a variety of ways - washing up, diffused in the room, used in the
washing machine rinse for clothes or sheets, etc. Lavender and tea tree oil are
two easily available oils that come to mind. I suggest an aromatherapy book from
the library or bookstore and a trip to the natural foods store. I found Valerie
Ann Worwood's book, "The Complete Guide to Essentail Oils & Aromatherapy" more
precise than others I read.

Like any medicine, essential oils should be used with knowledge.
