A question for the collective expertise that has little or nothing to do
with breastfeeding: a public health nurse called me yesterday. A dad of a 2
year old who has swelling in the breasts called to see if the nurse had any
information. They have a referral to a pediatrician, but he just wanted
other info. Anyone with experience? Mum has a new baby and the daughter has
been trying to nurse her dolls and I guess the family wondered whether there
could be a connection (I can't imagine this would make any difference). As
far as I know, the 2 year old isn't nursing, but even if she were, I've
never encountered breast development in a nursing toddler who has a new sib.
Ideas? Suggestions?
TIA for any help.
