        Regarding the IQ statistics, the description I use, courtesy of Dr
Gillian Arsenault, in talks to the general public is about the impact a 5%
increase in IQ would have over a general population.  IQ is based on a bell
curve,  A 5% increase would halve the number of institutionalized retarded
and double the number of geniuses. Imagine both the benefits and cost savings!
        Sons and breastfeeding.  As the mother of 3 sons aged 15, 17, and
18, I can't comment on their parenting (thank heavens) but I do know the
constant comments I get about their skills with young children.  They have
all worked with very young children, in teaching swimming, sunday schools
and coaching.  The reports are on the respect and gentleness they display.
They also will infrequently come to me to discuss parenting issues --
usually they are upset at something they have seen. It does my heart good --
but I keep telling them give me 10 years before the grandkids arrive!!
(speaking from an area where teen pregnancies are VERY VERY common.) I think
perhaps the point is not that they were breastfed but on the parenting they
saw amoung friends and family of which breastfeeding was only one component.
