My baby's first vomiting episodes coincided with my very first LLL meeting.
The leader watched and explained what to look out for with projectile
vomiting. Same here as with several other posts........we always carried a
large cloth diaper over our shoulders for a "burp" rag(frequently needing
changing in the course of a day!) and the more upright she became, the less
frequent the vomiting. We also tracked the most profuse episodes to my
diet.........while I could eat all the things moms are normally advised to
watch out for, including the entire cabbage family, beans, spices, onion,
and garlic to an extreme, any time I had more than just a little orange
juice or avocado(!), she would really throw up a lot. These two foods were
the two things I really craved during my pregnancy and ate to an excess
(we're talking the better part of a half gallon of o.j. a day, and a whole
avocado whenever I could get one........)
