Dear Ruth and all,

You asked about refrigerated/frozen breastmilk tasting soapy or sour. I
recently had a couple of different moms who reported the same problem. They
checked out: washing & rinsing procedures of the pumps and bottles and
nipples, changing storage containers and making sure they were tightly
capped, placing the milk to the rear of the freezer and scalding the milk
first. What finally was discovered was that the freezers were not cold
enough. When temp. was turned down, the milk no longer tasted or smelled
sour.

Best of luck, Janaki
