Yes, I am NOMAIL and now I need something! Funny how that works.

I have a mom that I will be seeing today who has given birth to a baby as a
result of a rape. While I personal experience with rape, I have none with
having a child out of such violence. I am confident that I can be of help to
her from a lactation stand point (she is being seen for basic breastfeeding how
tos) but want to address this issue for immediate response because of the
background.

Anyone have experience with these kinds of cases? I have experience from a
counseling stand point with incest among the teenage population to draw from but
hey, this may be different or there may be no problems. I just want to be sure
to boost the positive aspects and leave her breastfeeding her baby while feeling
good about herself. Breastfeeding under these conditions could be a problem for
some moms. I would appreciate any feedback you may have on this subject.
Please send private e-mail because I am NO MAIL from the list.

Thanks,
