Re milk from a mother with a yeast infection.....current leterature that
I am familiar with indicates that freezing MAY NOT kill the organism and MAY
reifect the infant...
My policy is to share this information with the mother and let her
choose the course of action she wishes....
I think that there can be numerous variables to be assesed...can this
milk be used during treatment instead of freezing? is the milk being pumped
essential and worth the risk?
My reference is Mary Rose Tully and Mary Overfields book: b/f
counseling guide. 1989.
