A word to the wise (lurkers or not)!

AOL crashed bigtime earlier the week of August 5-9.  Some people have been
abel to get back on quickly.  Othres are still having trouble. If you are
an AOL-er, please be patient if you are only now reading about this.

If you have been trying to send a message (private) to someone who is an
AOL-er, that person is probably not ignoring you.  S/he may not yet have
received the message, or it may have bounced back to you.  Patience, again,
while not rewarded, would be an attribute to appreciate.

Finally, MANY MANY people are generating errors right now.  Some are on
AOL. Others are not. If you were zapped, please do not take it personally.
It is our only way of "clearing" the electronic airwaves (so to speak).
Simply get back on and consider it one of the problems when people a)
forget to set themselves to nomail, b) try to set themsevles to nomail
incorrectly, and/or c) something mysterious happened that caused the
problems without the user having done so!
