Dear Colleagues:
For the past year I have been innundated with calls from patients all over
the US concerning breastfeeding and medications. Normally I return all
calls, but this is getting out of hand. It is not comfortable nor
professional for me to become an intermediate between a patient and their
doctor.
I really enjoy taking calls from lactation consultants, physicians and
other health care professionals... that's my job. I'm always here for you,
but I would like to ask that you not refer patients directly to me. Call
me yourself, but let me keep some distance from the patient.
Thanks
Tom Hale
