Motilium (Domperidone) is used in Canada as a galactogue not infrequently;
there is a current study underway in London, Ontario, examining its use in
mothers of VLBW infants.

Having just come from the WIC/LLL conference in San Antonio and attending the
excellent lecture by Dr Hale I can report that he also feels that this drug
is good and says that it is waiting for FDA approval.

Subject: Breastfeeding and anti-depressants
Hi,
What has research shown about the effects of the newer anti-depressant
medications (e.g., prozax, paxil,
etc...) on breastfeeding methods and their infants. What dangers are present
and what, if any, are the side
effects for the infants?
Thanks
>
As far as the SSRI antidepressants hew said that Prozac has several side
effects and the one he like best because of low levels in milk is Zoloft.
Boy am I tired out from so many classes in the last two days!
