Dear Linda Rosetti:
I haven't run across any articles that address breastfeeding and ppd
directly. O'Hara's new book has some references to breastfeeding, but mostly
to say that levels of depression did not seem to vary between bf and non-bf
moms. (O'Hara, M. (1995). Postpartum depression: Causes and consequences.
Springer-Verlag.--Get this from the library. I costs $71.00. I nearly
plotzed.)

I have an article on postpartum rituals and postpartum support that addresses
this indirectly. If that would help, let me know. Also, if you have a more
specific question, let me know and I'll see what I've got.
