Ellen,
I have a two-part filing system for my Lactnet Digests, and as you can see,
am on AOL also.
1. I save each digest to a 3.5 floppy disk, using 2 disks per month (days
1-15, 16-31) When I want to reference something that I remembered reading in
Lactnet somewhere, I go into my word processing program (WordPerfect) and do
a word search on each disk until I find what I'm looking for. That way you
can pick up the entire thread of a discussion.
2. When I want to print one section of the digest out, I highlight that
section with my mouse, push edit, and choose copy. Then I go to compose
mail, place the cursor on the file section, and go back to edit and choose
paste. Wallah! a copy of what I want. Then I just print it out.
I hope this helps. Isn't Lactnet neat? I've learned so much from reading
it. Don't get behind, though. I spent all last Saturday catching up on 2
weeks worth!
Peg Phillips, RN, IBCLC in what is now warm MN, but has a forcast of snow for
tonight. Winter--give up!
