Thank you, Alicia. What a downright PLEASURE to be wrong!
The violations in Israel are so much more blatant.... Before
the local hospital nurses' consciousnesses (?) were raised on
breastfeeding, I was the one who had to request taking down
Materna posters in the OB wards and removing a baby vitamin
poster showing a baby with a bottle in the hospital pediatric
outpatient clinics. Nowadays fighting an ongoing battle in the
community health clinics to educate personnel on the need to not
allow baby formula and baby food companies to hang posters and
leave brochures in the clinics. They shrug the famous Israeli
shrug and say they just sneak in and leave their stuff. So why
does the staff leave it around? I ask. Sigh. Again, delighted to
be corrected. Judy Knopf in Beer Sheva, Israel
