    I recall at some work shop a long time ago the question asked was do you
put gum in your mouth after you eat? while many people do - and that is a
WHOLE different can of worms- theinsistance of placeing something in the
babies mouth immediately the baby finishes eating......

    I have had the unfortunate experience to work with a mother whose child
did not learn to speak at the age appropriate time due to the paci living in
the child's mouth....there were extenuating circumstances for her using it
BUT obviously it was overused.
