I will be presenting a talk in about a month on the long-term effects of
human milk on the recipient infant's immune system, and how changes in
the mother's age, parity, immune or nutrition status can modify these
effects.  While I surely have plenty of material to fill my 30 minute
time slot, I would like to tap the wonderful resource that Lactnet is
for other viewpoints while I have time to modify my talk.  Judging from
past experience with this group, some of you scour the literature with
the avarice of bloodhounds looking for articles on the benefits of human
milk (an admirable task IMHO).  If you have come across articles showing
changes in the immune system (cancer risk, allergies, vaccine responses,
etc. would be included) among adults who were breastfed as children, I
would love to hear about them by private E-mail.  Also, if you have seen
any papers on the immunological composition of milk from adolescents vs.
adults, I would be very interested in hearing about them.  After the
conference, I will see about posting to Lactnet a summary of the
information I presented.  Thanks in advance.
