Hi everyone, I'm back. They let me back on my hubby's computer. It's great to
be back!
I just read the post on the "allergic rxn and induction" and it reminded me of
a gal I had started pitocin on who experienced severe chest pain almost immediately after I start the pit. (my chest started hurting too - she was screaming)
After shutting off the pit and obtaining normal ECG's and enzymes, we were all
sitting at the desk talking about what it could have been (Dr.s and nurse) when
one of the surgeons (who had done a surgery on her preveously) had said that it
was probably from her endometriosis. He said that he has seen uterine endometrial tissue in just about every part of the body with severe endometriosis, and that during labor, this tissue can also be stimulated to contract and cause
pain in any area, head, abdomen, neck, and in her case, the chest wall.
He just recently had a case where he had seen a lung mass on x-ray that he
biopsied and found it to be endometrial tissue.
Interesting stuff!
Becky B.
