In response to what to do about moms being unhappy about a pump she has
purchased--we suggest to our moms that they "demo" the pump before
purchase--we keep one of each kind of pump set up in a demo room--steam
sterilize the plastic parts-between clients--this allows the mother to decide
which pump is best for her and we then will do returns only on defective
pumps--we encourage our moms to think before purchasing--and many times they
leave after a "demo" without purchasing but then she returns when she is
sure--we have had excellent luck with this procedure--we do not charge for
the demo but just see it as a cost of doing business and we find that our
customers are very happy with the service. If by chance after all this the
customer still is unhappy we would refund her full money--better to have a
happy customer as she will tell her friends that we do care about our
customers--as opposed to an unhappy one that can cause much worse damage than
the price of one pump!
