Ros,
I think it is not uncommon for some women to start leaking milk during
pregnancy (even the first).
I saw a woman yesterday, only 6 weeks pregnant, and leaking significantly -
she had breastfed previously, but more than 2 years ago.
We also see women leaking milk when not pregnant (galactorrhea) with normal
levels of prolactin. Interestingly a couple of these women I've seen were
midwives: I wonder if the contact with babies / holding to chest/ teaching
expression, etc, stimulates the production of milk.
RE: chronic fatigue.
I've only seen one women with this problem, and she was able to breastfeed
OK - but had problems with nipple/ breast thrush. She is now pregnant again,
and I'm waiting to see if I get a call from her.
RE: JAHCO
What are we talking about, please?
