Laura,

I know we all have frustrating days, but there are rotten apples in every
barrel! There are WIC clinics (as well as doctors, hospitals, etc.) that
really, really try--even though we're labled the "formula program". I feel
that I am practically badgering my staff re: BF, as it comes up at every
staff meeting! They are really good, supportive, and our (myself & other
IBCLC) BF enthusiasm is catchy! WIC gives us the opportunity to reach one of
the most resistant & needy populations of women that need BF education. I
have certainly heard of WIC clinics & health "professionals" that give out
info that makes me shiver, but I strive to make up for that, and set an
example in my clinic. Please don't lump us all together!

Sorry your so frustrated, but focus on your triumphs. Hope you soon return
to the "Proud to be a Peer Counselor" mode soon!

Sandy Arnold BS, IBCLC
