Hi Netters,
Sorta good news about the Oprah Winfrey show on public display of affection.
They started with homosexuals, lesbians, breastfeeding in public. What a
combination ?????
This is all second hand news, but evidently LLL had 10 people there. They
wanted to stage a 3yr old nursing in a mall. They ended up with a 3month,
12month and 3year old. Not sure of the location ie- mall. There was a
sociologist present that did interviewing. One section of the show, they
showed a video of Florida and women in revealing swimsuits and asked for
comments. Another section of the show they asked about blowing your nose in
public. I quess it ended up not just homosexual, lesbians and breastfeeding,
but other issues were included. At the end, they asked if there were any
more questions and it was brought up "Did anyone notice the baby in the
audience being breastfeed????" meaning BF can be done very discretly. Also
the issue on BF in the bathroom was discussed. The audience would clap and
respond favorably towards BF, but of course there were some negative comments
made. It will be interesting to see what is cut. Probably all the good,
positive remarks. Hopefully not.
I would love to show the clipping I have on video of me breastfeeding my 4wk
old (now 11years old) on NBC news while I was interviewed on the Chicago Milk
Bank that I at the time was coordinating. I really do not think they even
knew I was breastfeeding.
Take care all and have a warm weekend.
