Speaking of the Ezzos' one-way logic, Lisa writes:

Ditto from the peanut gallery here. A very structured environment helps my
son Peter, too. He has Down Syndrome. Would the Ezzos say that his Down
Syndrome was "caused" by on-demand feeding?
And there is a huge difference between being afraid of your child and
letting the child run your lives, on the one hand -- what the Ezzos call
"child-centered families" and respecting your child and treating them like a
human being and practicing attachment parenting, rather than viewing your
child as a maniulative little sinner (as the Ezzos seem to view children).
Why oh why are people so eager for someone to tell them how to run their
lives? "Just follow this program and you'll have these results". Life (and
child rearing) is so much more complicated than that, but people seem to be
averse to thinking for themselves.
Kathy D., who finds the entire Ezzo phenomenon fascinating.
