Hi everyone,
Thanks to all of you who repsonded to my request for companies that
had lactation policies. I will keep you posted on the progress of
this dissertation as it progresses (which seems to be vry slowly right now)
I am in the process of writing up the dissertation proposal and I need to find
some other words for pumping. words like breastfeeding and pumping make
people in the corporate and also the academic world feel very uncomfortable.
I'm jsut now beginning to realize how uncomfortable people feel.
Anyway, my husband came up with a couple of good alternative terms the
other night. How does mechanicl lactation sound? I think the best one
for pumping is "off-line lactation" Please send other alternatives
(serious or otherwise, since we all need a laugh now and then) to my
private e-mail. If there's interest I'll collect them and post them soon
  thanks,
    Naomi Bar-Yam
