About five years ago, a fellow LC had a case that has similar features to
the one in your post. (I called my friend for details, but she is on
vacation.) My recall is that it was found that the mom had fully
functioning breast tissue, but no nipple pores on one side.
I believe the woman nursed fully on the unaffected side, and the pore-less
side eventually softened. A surgeon she consulted thought that it might be
possible to "create" pores, once she was no longer lactating. I will try
to find out if anything further was done.
