Jay's situation over which she needed to "vent" was a little bit like
something I just had... and I gave my problem to my "e-mail group practice"
to dissect.
There are 8 of us in our group - all members of lactnet, from Maryland to
California, some in a hospital, some in an office, some at home, some with
scores of pumps, some with a few. We share client situations, ideas,
techniques, business arrangements, you name it. We correspond with the
whole group or with just one person. We're in touch daily and we're better
friends every day - looking forward to meeting in KC!
It's been a life saver for me - the next best thing to having a partner in
what had become a very lonely private practice.
All I did was ask on lactnet if anyone else wanted to form such a group.
We cut it off at 8 people, but others were still asking.
I can't tell you how much this small group has meant to me. If any of you
want to form a similar group, I'm sure all you have to do is ask! Offer to
be the hub around which a group can gather, and the rest just sort of
happens.
