A couple ideas re SGA baby who is refusing breast: Cupfeeding instead of
bottlefeeding may increase baby's desire to suck at the breast. After 24
hours, try the breast again with SNS. Two possible down sides to this method
would be introducion of too many different feeding methods) or how about
putting mom and baby in tub together and see if baby will self-attach. I've
never used this personally, but have heard in conferences. Evidently it
sometimes takes several times. This should be a relaxing experience for mom
and baby without adult interference re latching. Bonnie Jones, R.N.,
