This mother is 8 days post partum.  Baby now gaining well.  She
continues to complain of significant pain in her breasts behind
scars.  Shehad removal of fibroadenomas from each breast 3 years ago.
 3cm scar on lateral aspect of each breast - midway between nipple and
mid axillary line.  This area remains firm after the feeds.  My
assumption is that ducts have been severed in the area.  My hope -
that the involved alveoli will involute.  However, no improvement to
date.  Any ideas other than local cold packs, motrin, check fit of
bra and effective breastfeeding?  I do not have access to surgical
