Jay:
Ovral is a combination birth control pill( 50 ug estradiol + 0.5
norgestrel). It is used as the day after pill because it alters the
endometrium and prevents nidation, or implantation of the ovum. Although
the dose is high (4 tablets), I really doubt the occassional use for short
durations(one dose) is going to hurt a breastfeeding infant. The question
is, will it reduce breast milk production ? I don't really know but I
doubt it.
