Rose:
Please, please, please share with the list any suggestions you receive for
avoiding the cut of hospital LC's lactation programs. That is a real
concern in the present.
Martha:
Thanks for sharing your lovely words of wisdom on the past, present &
future, etc.. What a reality-oriented, timely message!
Finally - a group knowledge request:
I have a mom who is returning to work shortly and hopes to continue
exclusive breastfeeding but...her situation is most unusual for me and I'm
not sure if there should be a concern. She previously was a dancer in an
exotic club and is hoping to continue now. My understanding is that she
wears "pasties" - little (& I mean little!!) cups that only cover her
areola. Her concern is leaking - would this type of exotic dancing be a
concern? I thought that if she were able to nurse as closely as possible
before leaving for work and also pump as needed throughout her "shift", it
would probably be ok. I really am not familiar with what types of movements
an exotic dancer would do, so I'm at a loss for further ideas. Any comments
would be appreciated. I really need to get an answer to her within the next
5-7 days, as my family & I are moving next weekend and I will be off line
for 1-2 weeks. TIA!

PS. Beth Hilleke, could you please email me privately? I don't know your
email address - Thanks!
