I am behind with reading my digests because I went to the Queensland Branch
Conference of the Nursing Mothers' Association of Australia, so have just
read Kathleen A's post about the comet.
At about 11.30pm on the Friday night, I was walking between buildings at the
conference venue and happened to look up, and there it was. I certainly
didn't have to go looking for it.
The conference venue is about 45 mins drive out of Brisbane, so we city
slickers saw what would have been denied us at home because of the city lights.
On the Saturday night many of us sat on the lawn till the wee hours,
discussing lactation (and telling jokes) under the watchful eye of this
wonderful cosmic phenomenon.
To us it will always be The Conference of The Comet.
