HI Patricia!
< it is important to remember that ALL mother's do what they believe is the
<best for thier children.
I have to say that Most moms, not All moms do what is best for their kids. I
used to think it was All, but some of the things I've seen in the past
several years says otherwise. I know that My mom did what she thought was
best and that if the Drs back then had had a clue I wouldn't have ended up in
the state I was in. (The Drs kept telling her I would "grow out of it" while
I was losing weight daily!) My MiL also was told things that we now know are
ridiculous. She had toxemia (PIH) really severe case and was had to have a
C-Sec 6 wks early with my hubby. Was told her milk was poison and would kill
her baby!
< information adn research changes constantly. cultural knowledge also
<changes..though more slowly.
Don't I know it! Even with my info most of my family thinks that ABM is just
fine. Poor things. There are several cases of diabetes in the extended part
of my family. All of those who have Diabetes had the early onset kind and
were ABM fed. Coincidence????
> i think that we need to tred very lightly. they did the best that they
>could with the information they had available. <snip> by the time our
children have >children i am sure that there will be much that they will
shake thier head and ask: "
>how could they buy into that" of us.
I agree wholeheartedly. It is just sad that there isn't a way to speed
things up. But when people realize the truth and see these companies for
what they Really are, will the Lawsuits begin?
