I need more information about using Imitrex (sumatriptan succinate) for
treatment of migraine headaches while nursing.

The mom is currently pregnant and wants to know the safety during the
time she will be nursing. This drug has worked well in the past and she
would like to use it again, but is concerned about the safety of her infant.
It would be used only occasionally (when headaches occur).

I read the "little red book" and it seemed as if there might be a better
alternative? If this is the only drug that would work for her, should she
pump and dump?

TIA - Debi
