My dear friends,
My 10 year old son has been sick for the last 2 weeks (vomiting/nosebleeds,
abdominal pain). The doctor did some blood tests which showed he was
dehydrated but some of the values were highly indicative of early Leukemia.
(there were lots of immature cells and a low white count.)
I have been told it's only one test, the values can be incorrrect because of
the dehydration and not to worry (but I am a mom--its my job). The doctor
told me to take solace in the fact that Andrew looks healthy and has only
lost 4 pounds. He said in all likelyhood it's another problem, perhaps a
paracyte. At this point we are trying to rehydrate him and they will do
more testing Friday.
My family is very stressed and because we won't know anything for a while
yet, it's so hard not to feel helpless and worry about the worst. Please
remember us.
