Hi all,
Have a 12 day old baby who sleeps up to 22 hrs per day.  Had Jaundice, but is
within normal limits now, (don't know the numbers).  Mom is feeding EBM in
bottle.  Baby will L-O (nicely too) but falls asleep before BF (did finally
take in 28 cc yesterday at breast with an LC).  Mom has to wake baby for
every feed, and waking is difficult.  Feeds are a situation of waking and
rewaking baby, twisting bottle, rubbing head, etc, etc.  Lots of cajoling and
coaxing.  Babys tone is good, baby is healthy, term.  Mom had lots of meds
during labor (don't know which ones, LC didn't have the chart with her so was
giving me info from memory).  Could the meds be the reason for this extreme
sleepiness?  My guess is yes, with a capital Y!  Input is appreciated!
