I have run into a discussion of high iron vs. low

Your position has a solid foundation in reason.  Remind them of the low
bioavailability of iron in ABM and tell them you prefer not to interfere
with a high bioavailability source.  Remind them this ABM is a supplement
only, not a main source of food.

BTW, there are a lot of people who study iron in human biochemistry who
would disagree with babies getting high iron formula constantly, even if
ABM were their only source of nutrition.
