Sallie:  If the assertion in that text is true, I would pose the question
to the authors about why babies fed human milk have higher levels of
serum IgA and IgG at 3 and 6 weeks than those fed abm?  See Ruth
Lawrence's "Breastfeeding: A Guide for the Medical Profession" (1994
edition) p 422.  It would be interesting to see their references for the
statement that colostrum has no role in systemic immunity beyond 24 hours.
