I've been working with a mother who has had more then her share of problems
lately. Her baby who is about 2 weeks old has had a poor latch since birth
which has progressed to moms very sore nipples, mastitis, thrush etc. She
tried cup feeding while she was unbearably sore but eventually gave into a
bottle so now baby is even worse off. I will be seeing her soon. I will try
working on latch positioning etc. I suggested she try switching to a Nuk
nipple at least (she doesn't want to try cold turkey and just breastfeed,
actually she's very close to bagging the whole thing) We'll try baths too, I
just thought I would tickle out some ideas from cyberspace on getting baby
back to breast.
TIA
