At a NMAA/ ALCA conference for Breastfeeding Professionals here in Perth in
October, I asked one of the speakers (I won't name him here with out his
knowledge and permission) about human milk fortifiers.  He said that he
believes that they are used because of a lack of faith in the value of
breast milk.
