I have had one experience with seedy looking nipples, and in this case, it
did look like the areola was covered with tiny little seeds, very close
together.  As I recall, it was on one breast, not the other.  Mom is
Korean/American with dark skin.  It wasn't on the nipples, just the areola,
and there was no transfer of pigment or flaking of skin to the baby.  It
looked to me like the little tiny skin tags I get all over my neck when I am
pregnant.  (Well, some people have tender breasts, some have nausea, I have
skin tags -- great fun popping them off -- the kids think it is SO gross!
 They go away gradually after I stop bf).  In this case, we didn't do
anything about it, the baby happily went to breast because he had nothing to
compare it to, and eventually they went away.  Not sure if they just fell off
or what, I lost contact with her after that.  This was baby number 4; it
didn't happen with the others.

My "guess" is hypertrophy of the skin tissue r/t growth hormone????  but,
"seedy" definitely is more descriptive.
