Yes, I haven't lost my marbles - I have a legitimate reason for
asking what the natural weaning age of cats is...

In addition to my 15 yr. old 'hissy' cat, my children each have a cat who
gave birth on Sept. 2, and 8th respectively, and between them are jointly
nursing 5 kittens. Now, when DO they wean? One of these cats was weaned
for two days when we got her. I think that really means she ate solids for
two days, as she was quite a baby, and had a very difficult transition
coming with us. The other cat was several weeks older, able to stay with
her Mama and siblings longer, and was incredibly more secure.

So, they are all eating solids. They all nurse regularly. When AM I
supposed to give them away? It is looking like never...

Have any of you had kittens? Any suggestions? Close my eyes and ears and
make SOME effort at giving them away? I realize that they are getting quite
big...

It has been quite an experience seeing these two Mommy cats nurturing ALL
these babies, as if all are their own. They take turns nursing, going off
for some fun, etc.
