OK Lactnetters, I am looking for some help! Mom is BF 22 mos old, and has
been on mini-pill since delivery (G1P1). Has had very normal, very regular
menstrual cycles throughout life, but now is experiencing lots of
breakthrough bleeding. Menstruation returned several months ago but cycles
are getting worse, more out of control, and less distinct. Her daughter is
very active & feeds many times thru day & some at night. She is very
concerned about her percent of protection. She knows BF helps, and that
regular pill would effect milk supply. She is waiting to hear from her
OB/GYN group, and has called a pharmacist and a local family planning clinic,
without getting much good info.
Are there any studies/research in this area? Suggestions? Comments?
