Was cleaning off my desk when I discovered an article someone gave me a long
time ago, thought I'd mention it in case anyone is interested or doing
research . . .
It's an article from The Journal of Southern History, Vol.LI, no.3, August
1985 by Sally McMillen who teaches women's history at the University of North
Carolina, entitled "Mothers' Sacred Duty: Breastfeeding Patterns among
Middle and Upper-Class Women in the Antebellum South"
Does anybody know if anyone has done a survey of bf patterns throughout US
history, and is it published somewhere?
